Baltic Square - Gateshead

Baltic Square forms part of the prestigious Gateshead Quays development, one of the most exciting arts, leisure and residential destinations in Europe and is already famous for its landmark projects including the Millennium Bridge, the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, The Sage Centre for Music and Baltic Quays.

The development of Baltic Square aimed to create a stylish pedestrianised area as an aesthetically pleasing entrance to Gateshead's Millennium Footbridge.

We thoroughly enjoyed this contract, due to the high quality of the finished product required, and the great detail that the architect had included in this design.

Here we worked alongside Harbour and General now "Volker Stevin" and were involved in the full contract from formation right through to the finished product, working closely with the architect to make sure that his every detail was accomplished.

Again we received great praise from Gateshead Council for our efforts in making sure that this contract was complete ready for the opening to the public on the 17th September 2001. Queen Elizabeth II performed the official opening of the Baltic Square and the Millennium Bridge on May 7th 2002
