Middlesbrough Renaissance Phase 2(Albert Road)

This contract included Environmental improvements along a major bus route and shopping high street within the town centre incorporating new paving, lay-bys, public lighting, feature lighting, trees, drainage and street furniture.

The contract also linked the main University entrance to the town centre.

Because of the nature of the contract, all excavation for trees, lighting columns and drainage had to be excavated by hand so as not to damage existing services, as their exact location was unknown.

Access to the shops had to be maintained at all times as did the bus route and a safe walkway for the pedestrians. This was carefully planned between ourselves and Middlesbrough council before each section was started.
